Who it's for

Built for crews, not desks.

If your people work with their hands, move between sites or aren't allowed phones on the floor, a badge is the simplest time clock there is.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

The quickest answer is to try it: set up your crew and scan a badge in about a minute. No card.

What is TrackBadges?

TrackBadges is a QR code badge time clock for crews. Every employee gets a printed badge, a supervisor scans it with any phone or tablet to clock them in or out, and the owner gets live timesheets with overtime, ready for payroll. Employees never need an app, an account or a phone.

What's the best time clock for employees who don't have smartphones?

A badge time clock, where a supervisor or a shared tablet does the scanning. With TrackBadges every employee gets a printed QR badge and one supervisor's phone clocks the whole crew in and out, so nobody on the crew needs a smartphone, an app or a login.

How does a QR code time clock work?

Each employee has a badge with their own QR code. Scanning it at the start of a shift clocks them in, and scanning it again clocks them out. TrackBadges records the time, the scanner and its location, and adds the hours to that week's timesheet.

Do employees need to download an app?

No. Employees never install anything or sign in. The scanner is a web page that runs in the browser of any phone or tablet you pair, so nobody downloads anything from an app store — not even the supervisor.

What equipment do I need?

A phone or tablet with a camera, and a printer for the badges. Plain paper works; card stock or a badge holder lasts longer. There's no time clock hardware to buy or mount.

How much does TrackBadges cost?

Free for up to 3 people. Pro is $9 a month for your first 3 people, plus $1.50 a month for each person after that. 10 people is $19.50 a month and 25 people is $42. Every feature is on both plans, with no contracts, hardware or setup fees.

Can employees clock in for each other?

Not when a supervisor does the scanning: they see every person they clock in, so one worker can't punch in a friend who isn't there. Every punch also records which scanner made it and where, so anything unusual is easy to spot.

Does TrackBadges calculate overtime?

Yes. Set daily and weekly overtime thresholds and rounding rules, and TrackBadges applies them to every timesheet. Shifts left open close automatically, so one missed clock-out doesn't turn into a day of overtime.

Can I export timesheets for payroll?

Yes. Approve the week, then download timesheets as a CSV file for Excel, Google Sheets or your payroll provider. You can also send a view-only share link to your bookkeeper.

What if someone loses their badge?

Reissue it from the dashboard in a click and the old badge stops working right away. Until the new one is printed, the supervisor can type that person's PIN on the scanner instead.

Does it work across multiple job sites?

Yes. Pair as many phones and tablets as you need, each at its own location. Every scan records the scanner and its location, and can be stamped with GPS, so you can see where each punch happened.

Can I try it before signing up?

Yes. Add your business and your real crew, pair your phone and scan a badge without making an account or entering a card. Sign up when you're ready and everything you set up is kept.
